Description

The underwater experience you get from the PowerVision PowerRay Wizard and Zeiss VR One Plus Goggles is so immersive, you’ll be surprised your clothes aren’t wet.

If you use the PowerRay Wizard the way most people do — from a boat on the water’s surface — you’ll be perfectly dry. But the compact remote-controlled, camera-equipped robotic submarine, coupled with the Zeiss goggles, takes underwater viewing to a new dimension.

At your choosing, when wearing the VR One Giggles, just move your head to control the PowerRay. It goes where your head points, all while you see what the PowerRay sees. Or control the PowerRay using the handheld remote with your smartphone or tablet connected, while a friend wears the goggles. Suddenly this unmanned underwater robot becomes a submersible for two — or more, if you add another pair of goggles.

If you fish, you’re in luck with the PowerRay Wizard — perhaps better luck than you’ve ever had with a fishing rod in your hand. The PowerRay Wizard and its included PowerSeeker Fishfinder will locate the fish for you, then lure them closer. It will alert you, and when you send the command, it will drop your baited hook and line at just the right spot.

Every PowerRay Wizard includes:

  • 64GB storage
  • Zeiss VR One Plus Goggles
  • 4K video camera
  • 12MP still photo capability
  • Adjustable LED underwater lighting
  • Video range of 262 feet
  • Compatibility with iOS and Android devices
  • Maximum depth of 98 feet, operating range of 230 feet
  • Multiple control modes based on experience
  • Removable PowerSeeker Fishfinder
  • Alerts when fish are detected
  • Bait drop line

High-Performance Camera

The onboard camera can record ultra-high-definition 4K video at 25 frames per second through its lens, which has a wide-angle 95-degree field of view. You see the video live in 720p or 1080p high definition. The camera can shoot 12MP stills in bursts of 1/3/5 frames per second. ISO settings are 100, 200, 400, 800 and 1600, and you can choose to have the PowerRay set the ISO automatically. The aperture is fixed at a wide f2.8, helpful in dimly lit underwater settings.

Goggles Magnify the Experience

By wearing the Zeiss VR One Plus Goggles, you’ll create the illusion that you’re underwater, not just watching a picture of it. The goggles show what your smartphone shows, because the smartphone with the PowerRay program activated is inserted right into the goggles. With activation of the feature, you can control the PowerRay’s motions with head movements.

Take a friend along for the ride. You can let the friend wear the goggles while you control the PowerVision Wizard underwater robot from your handheld remote. If you buy a second set of goggles, you can activate head controls for your goggles and have the friend’s goggles set for passive viewing.

Underwater Illumination

The PowerRay Wizard has two bright LED headlights. Maximum output on each beam is 450 lumens. You can adjust the output.

The lights not only help the camera see what’s ahead but also help you light the way if you’re handholding the PowerRay while diving or snorkeling. The PowerRay’s smart design includes two built-in handles at the rear for holding by hand.

Underwater Power

The  PowerRay Angler has two strong electric motors to power it through the water horizontally. Those two motors also steer the sub. It has a vertical motor that lets it ascend and dive on your command. The Angler can cruise at 3 knots — about 3.5 miles per hour.

PowerRay can dive to a depth of 98 feet. It lets you know how deep it is, accurate to within 4 inches. It can travel up to 233 feet — the length of the communication cord that connects it to the base station.

PowerRay can function in water from 32 degrees Fahrenheit to 104F.

Underwater Vision

PowerRay uses WiFi to transmit what it sees. You’ll see the video live in high definition — 720p at 30 fps or 1080p at 25 fps, while the Angler records in 4K ultra-high-definition. The live video transmission range is 262 feet. The live feed shows on the screen of the smartphone or tablet that you link to your remote controller.

PowerRay Angler helps you remember your experience because it records videos and stills to the included 64GB of memory. Once you download to your computer, you’ll have the images forever, and you’ll be able to edit them for quality.

PowerRay lets you share instantly to Facebook, Wechat and Instagram. Or you can edit first on your computer and share from there to any site you want, or email it.

Remote Control

The commands you send wirelessly from your remote controller are relayed to the Angler through the included base station. You can command your underwater robot when you’re up to 32 feet from the base station.

PowerRay uses a communication cable to send your commands to the PowerRay. The cord is 168 feet long.

PowerSeeker Fishfinder

Ever wish you could see underwater when fishing and tell the fish to come your way? Now you can, with the PowerRay Angler’s PowerSeeker Fishfinder.

This is real high-tech fishing.

The PowerSeeker:

  • Emits sonar signals, and detects when the signals bounce off fish
  • Alerts you when it finds fish
  • Emits a blue glow that attracts the fish

If you want, the PowerSeeker detaches and floats, and it has its own battery and charge. That means you can use the PowerSeeker separately, without the drone. You still get alerts and know when to drop your line.

Baited Hook and Release

The PowerRay Angler carries your baited hook and line as it searches for fish by using the sonar signals from its PowerSeeker Fishfinder.

After the PowerSeeker glows blue and attracts fish, you get the alert and see the fish in the transmitted video. When you’re ready, send the command to the PowerRay Angler to release the baited hook and line.

PowerRay records everything that happens.

Your Underwater Eyes

If you dive and you’re in unfamiliar waters, the PowerRay lets you take a look before you dive in. You can see underwater obstacles, such as rocks, ledges, coral and debris, helping you to avoid trouble.

When you’re in the water, you can handhold the PowerRay, using its powerful LED lights to guide you. Use PowerRay’s capable camera to record your true underwater adventure in 4K video and 12MP stills.
