Great news!!! As of August 29, 2016 the FAA has revised the rules!!!
All Commercial Pilots must now complete a test known as the Part 107 Certification. Several of our pilots are also instructors at UAS flight school and have gone the extra mile by receiving their Section 333 Exemption and Certificate of Authorization (COA) which means they have been qualified to fly commercially for aerial data collection for several years. Aerial data collection includes any remote sensing and measuring by an instrument(s) aboard the drone. Examples include imagery (photography, video, infrared, etc.), electronic measurement (precision surveying, RF analysis, etc.), chemical measurement (particulate measurement, etc.), or any other gathering of data by instruments aboard the drone.
As of September ’17 there are more than 60,000 Part 107 pilots and approximately 5500 Section 333 exemptions that have been issued by the FAA across the USA. 1UP Aerial Drone Services is one of the few companies that has heavily invested in proper training and can confidently (and legally) fly drones for commercial purposes.
Drones are a new, exciting, emerging technology and we understand this. We frequently hear, I’m from the Show-Me-State, and/or drones are incredible, but I’m not sure yet how they can help my business. For those clients we offer introductory flight specials with deep discounts and a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Following the introductory special we have 3 standard programs based on your ongoing requirements. We will also custom tailor our pricing and program to meet your needs and of course all projects include our 100% satisfaction guarantee:
“Show Me” Introductory flight specials 10% off of our standard project rates and 100% satisfaction guarantee.
Standard pricing Project by project design once we understand your requirements. Examples: Basic drone-vertising is $500 for a 2 to 3 hour flight. Cinema quality photos and videos require specialized equipment and skills; they are priced accordingly.
Drones as a Service (DRaaS) We build a pre-established number of flights (typically 2 to 4) per month and certifications at a discounted rate. Designed for companies where consistent progress reports, multiple projects, and/or properties are requirements.
Drones on Call We remain on call at a moments notice. Designed for emergency response, accident investigation, evidence gathering, and search/rescue. 1UP understands the foundation of our business is on building the best customer service in this quickly changing, highly technical, emerging market. We are hands on and make every customer a priority to provide the best experience possible. We strive to build a long term “raving fan” out of each of our customers so you will return based on the initial drone service you receive.
Yes we pride ourselves on being top notch safety experts and professionals in this emerging industry. We have an established curriculum that starts where the FAA Part 107 certification leaves off. For those who are studying for or have gone through Part 107 you become familiar with Sectional Maps, Aeronautical Decision Making, and Weather patterns. At 1UP we believe this is only the beginning. For companies who are safety and security minded we have created an advanced drone safety course that we have certified instructors and full day training courses. The 1-day agenda covers:
Safety Classroom Training Pre-Flight Procedures
RealFlight Simulator
Drones & Varying Flight Characteristics: Yuneec Typhoons, DJI M600’s, Phantoms, Inspires, let’s play?
Hands on Aerial Drone Flight Training & Stick Time
Yes, absolutely that’s what we do! We can provide you all of the raw footage in several formats or we can edit your images and video to meet your requirements.
Absolutely! We take great pride in our repeat customers, business relationships and references for life.
1UP Aerial Drone Services, Inc. guarantees customer satisfaction with our photos, site surveys, inspections, 3D mapping, training, and all work we perform for our clients.
Our drones can produce images up to 4K at 60 frames per second and stills up to 20 megapixels. Check out our video portfolio here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCcN9rhu4TO3E8bD4Ym-phJg
Yes! However, stills from the drone video will not be as high quality as direct still images.
All 1UP Aerial Drone Services flight operations will follow the guidelines below:
Pilots and projects typically take 2 to 8 hours onsite. Batteries allow for approximately 30 minutes of flight time so we always come prepared with plenty of extra batteries. For more complex projects, we may employ multiple pilots and/or multiple aircraft.
Absolutely. We carry a specialized policy with $2 million coverage to ensure that we have coverage in the rare instance something goes wrong.
We will do our best to match or beat another quote of similar nature; however, the extensive pilot experience and safety we deliver will not be compromised at any cost.
Our clients and drone pilots should be aware that in remote agricultural areas manned aircraft may be operating very close to ground level. Pilots conducting agricultural, firefighting, law enforcement, emergency medical, wildlife survey operations, and a variety of other services all legally and routinely work in low-level airspace. Operators controlling drones in these areas will maintain situational awareness and remain a safe distance.
The meaning comes from the urban slang definition of having an extra life in the game of life; another person, or element we can all rely on, we ALL need another we can rely on!
