Eliminate the drone threat near airports
Drone activity has been increasing around airports. Violating airspace restrictions and representing a threat to passenger safety and airline operations. In fact, these disruptions are now planned as a form of protest.
Drones crashing into aircraft can cause large amounts of damage to both. The danger has been taken seriously. In 2012, the United States passed The FAA Modernization and Reauthorization Act. This act essentially requires airspace approval to fly drones within 5 miles of an airport.
